🍁Autumn Equinox⚖️

Yesterday, March 21st, we celebrated the Autumn Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere and the Spring Equinox in the Northern. (I had difficulty posting this blog because I was travelling most of the day).

The word ‘equinox’ is derived from the Latin words ‘aequus’ (equal) and ‘nox’ (night). From our perspective on the Earth, the Sun appears to rise ‘due east’ and sets ‘due west’, and day and night are of approximately equal length. Two energies come together as one - heaven and earth, spirit and matter, life and death, the masculine and feminine. As the Sun hovers directly above the Equator, we receive an opportunity to pause and balance ourselves, to unify the duality within us. The Autumn Equinox indicates that from this moment the Sun will continue to sink lower in the sky, our days will become shorter than the nights, and the temperatures will begin to decline as we move closer to winter again.

Each of the four seasons can represent the cycles our world and our lives go through: rebirth, growth, harvest, and death. Autumn is a time when we harvest the fruits that have grown and ripened over summer, and some plants now even stop making food. Throughout history, this has been a time for rites and festivals honouring the harvest, celebrating the importance of food production, and rejoicing in our abundance. Metaphorically, we can celebrate the harvesting of the goals and intentions we set for ourselves when the year began, or even how they have been evolving and expanding. Acknowledging our efforts and intentions, our growth and expansion, and celebrating the process whilst we are still heading on our life’s path. As we honour the balance and interaction of the light and the dark, we can show gratitude for the changes that form with the passing of time. We can shift our consciousness from one of perceiving lack, to one of recognising all the prosperity and riches we have, and for all that we individually and uniquely are.

In Autumn, also referred to as ‘fall’, we may notice how the leaves of deciduous trees change colour and fall to the ground at this time of year, although this is not as common with trees endemic to Australia. We can practise this within ourselves and our lives too, by letting go of what no longer serves us, shedding events from the past, and clearing our internal and external environments to make space for the silence and rest that winter brings. Compost your old ideas and use this energy to make fertile soil for new ideas, new plans, and changes in direction, to allow a greater vision and for better possibilities to emerge. Possibilities you may never have dreamed or even imagined.

Personally, I have been going through a very difficult transition and my life has been heading in a direction that I did not expect. Not better or worse, just different. For a time, it was easy to perceive the lack in my life and what was missing as my stability and financial security became severely challenged. I yearned to find more work, be of service to the world, to make a difference in people’s lives. To be valued for the gifts I could offer.

My situation suddenly became even worse, my health was suffering. Depression set in again. I panicked. I couldn’t eat and lost a lot of weight and muscle mass. I couldn’t talk to people, as I was always on the verge of tears. My hair started falling out and I would become hot, flushed, and have panic attacks at night. I blamed it on menopause, but it was more than that. My doctor refused to prescribe hormone treatment until I gave some attention to my mental health condition. It was then that I realised I wasn’t going to attract any abundance in my life whilst I was in this state. I had to put my fear and negativity aside to be able to exude any positivity or confidence in my abilities. I had to focus on raising my spiritual and mental vibration in order to attract the financial security I was longing for. What amazes me now as I look back, is how quickly things turned around once that decision was made and I acted on it. My situation literally changed within hours after performing one combined act, and I am going to reveal it for you here.

Exercise with affirmation, to raise your vibration.

I went for a forty-minute morning walk around a nearby lake and chanted a song that I spontaneously made up. I sang it for the entire forty minutes, to the beat of my steps as I walked. It was as simple as this:

“I’m feeling… (pause) good today… (pause).

I’m feeling blessed today.

I’m feeling grateful.

I’m feeling… (pause) good today… (pause).

I’m feeling great today.

I’m feeling grateful.”

Sometimes I would change it up by adding extra lines as they came to mind:

“I’m feeling confident.

I’m feeling strong.”

“I’m feeling happy.

I’m feeling full of life.”

“I’m raising… (pause) my vibration… (pause).

With every step I take.

With every move I make.”

But essentially, the verse was the same. Always starting with:

“I’m feeling… good today….”

If I couldn’t think of any new qualities to add, I reverted back to the first two verses, singing them over and over and over as I moved my entire body.

Within one hour of arriving home, I received calls for work. It was as if the vibration I created and sent out, called and promptly arranged for what I desired to manifest. At the start of my chanting, I had to fake it, because I wasn’t feeling good, or strong, or confident. But by the end of my walk, I felt energised, happy, and full of life. I felt positive, lighter, and stronger, and every other quality that I sang and programmed into my soul.

The next day, as I headed to work, I sang my affirmation song again in the car for twenty minutes. I was feeling quite anxious that morning, but my day turned out amazingly wonderful. And the next day, and the next. And I attribute this to my conscious change in vibration. Now I use this affirmation song any time I feel low, anxious or fearful. I believe it attracts good things into my life, pleasant experiences with the people I come in contact with, and wonderful opportunities for growth. It has a resetting effect, a neutrality, and just like the Autumn Equinox creates a sense of balance again. I also believe people can feel my positive energy and want some for themselves. I am attractive and my eyes shine after singing this song.

This Autumn Equinox, take the time to pause and see where you came from and where you are now. Fall in love with yourself again. Lower your inhibitions. Trust in your abilities. Establish how you can bring some balance back into your life, especially the balance between work and play, activity and rest, loud environments and some time for absolute quiet.

“As you turn inward and fall in love with the truth of who you really are, you become whole, despite the brokenness.” Chloë Rain

If you need some assistance with making the same process happen for you, I have lots of wonderful tools that can help. I can help you identify and remove the things that are standing in your way to happiness, great health and vitality. We’re not meant to go on this life journey alone. Allow me to walk beside you as we walk through the crunchy autumn leaves and guide you on your way. Through gentle education and support, I will guide and empower you to find the ‘Natural Balance’ you’ve been looking for, so you can be the best version of yourself possible and manifest wonderful experiences into your life.

Sweet Blessed Equinox to you!
